Mrs. Kamil was also a past president of Temple Israel and was honored by UAHC for her service to temple and Reform Judaism. She was also a past president and editor of the newsletter for the Detroit chapter of Hadassah as well as a Brownie, Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader for her children. Mrs. Kamil is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie Kamil and Jon Lockard of Ann Arbor, Lisa Kamil and Roger Shimmell of Bloomfield Hills, and Flo and Ricky Dessen of New York; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Mark and Barb Kamil of Commerce; grandchildren, Joseph Kamil, Rita Kamil and Jason Nager, Ricky Kamil, Becky Kamil, Hannah Kamil, Miriam Kamil, Jason Dessen and Jamie Dessen; brother, Jacques Levine of New York.
