SIDNEY PRYSTOWKSY, 93, of West Bloomfield, died Jan. 12, 2012. He practiced internal medicine with specialties in allergy and immunol- ogy. In 2004, St. John Prystowsky Providence bestowed a lifetime achievement award on him as a beloved staff member and teacher. Dr. Prystowksy was a graduate of the College of Charleston and was captain of the basketball team. He graduated in 1943 from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed his residency in internal medicine in Kings County Brooklyn, N.Y., before returning to the Medical University in South Carolina. Dr. Prystowksy was an Army veteran and captain in the medical unit during the Korean conflict. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, he was board certi- fied in internal medicine, allergy and immunology. A beloved doctor throughout the St. John Providence system, he was known as a "doctor's doctor:' Dr. Prystowksy is survived by his sons, Alan Pryor and David Pryor; daughter, Susan Trigger; eight grandchildren. He turned his artistic talent to Web design later in life. Mr. Resnick is survived by his wife, Ginger Concepcion; his children, Josh and Krysten; his mother, Rose (Cohen) Resnick; his brothers, Donald (Sheron) Resnick and Jeffrey (Carol) Resnick.
