Social Justice Voice Of Emanu-EI B eatrice "Bea" and Abraham Sacks were founding members of Temple Emanu-El in Ok Park, joining in the summer of 1952 what was to be called the Suburban Temple. He became membership chair, and she par- ented the Social Action Committee that today bears her name. The soul and spirit of that committee, Mrs. Sacks will be remembered at Temple Emanu-El as a singular presence who pushed for justice and righteousness. Dan graduated from La Sorbonne, Paris, France, with a degree in engineering and was a pilot in the French Air Force during World War II. He is survived by his two sons, Robert Elmouchi of Southfield and Neil Elmouchi of California; his two grandchildren, Dr. Darryl Elmouchi of Grand Rapids and Kimberly Elmouchi Lau of California; five great-grandchildren; his ex-wife, Ruth Elmouchi; many relatives in France and Israel, including his loving sister, Georgette.
