FRED J. BERNSTEIN, 84, of Boca Raton, Fla., formerly of West Bloomfield, died Dec. 20, 2011. Mr. Bernstein was a World War II Navy veteran and the owner Bernstein of Hadley's clothing stores of Michigan. He was an avid golfer and a former member of Tam-O-Shanter Country Club. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; son, Todd Bernstein; daughters and sons- in-law, Meryl and Marc Sakwa, Gayle and Arnie Goodman. He was very proud of his grandchildren, Jenna, Connor and Sydney Sakwa, Alexa and Madison Bernstein, Jaclyn, Richard and Nicole Goodman. He was brother to Sybil and the late Gerald Pulver of Key Biscayne, Fla.. Interment was held in Miami, Fla. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of one's choice. LORRAINE GALE, 89, of Farmington Hills, died Dec. 19, 2011. She is survived by her son and daughter- in-law, Dr. Jerry and Barbara Gale of Athens, Ga.; daughters and son-in-law, Marci Meyers of Farmington Hills, Margie Gale and Jake Wilson of Tampa, Fla.; grand- children, Rachel (Michael) Boyd, Marla (Paul) Vermillion and Hannah Gale; great- grandchildren, David, Hosanna, Isaac and Anastasia; many loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Mrs. Gale was the beloved wife of the late Alvin Gale. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of one's choice.
