Author To Discuss Eichmann
Trial At SYNergy Shabbat
Adat Shalom Synagogue's next SYNergy
Shabbat will feature author Deborah
Lipstadt.
Lipstadt will speak
to the Farmington Hills
congregation about
her newest book, The
Eichmann Trial, which
was published in corn-
memoration of the
gripping event's 50th
anniversary.

a Shabbat Appella service for families of
all ages. Hazzan Daniel Gross will lead
the service, along with Marty Liebman,
Jeffrey Maisels and Jason Biederman.
Shabbat buffet begins at 6:15 p.m. fol-
lowed by Lipstad's address.
Childcare is available.
Traditional services will begin at 9
a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14. At 10 a.m. those
interested can join a yoga session with
Rabbi Shere and Yogi Shawn Broida. Also,
educator Ruth Bergman will lead a 10
a.m. Torah Study on "No Straw for Bricks:
The first difficult steps of Moses' confron-
tation with Pharaoh!' An enhanced kid-
dush will follow services.
"Saturday Night Lights:' Havdalah
program for young families, will be at a
5:15 p.m. and a gala Cantor's Cabaret of
Yiddish music will be presented at 7:30.
Chairing SYNergy programming is
Karen Kahn of West Bloomfield.
All are welcome. There is a din-
ner charge, and dinner reservations
are required. There is also a non-Adat
Shalom member charge of $5 for the

B'nai Moshe Welcomes
Livonia Synagogue Members
Congregation B'nai Moshe in West
Bloomfield welcomes community mem-
bers and former members of Congregation
Beit Kodesh to a special Sabbath service.
Beit Kodesh closed its doors in October
after more than 50 years in Livonia.
During morning services on Saturday,
Jan. 7, B'nai Moshe will officially welcome
the past Beit Kodesh members who have
joined B'nai Moshe. There will also be a
rededication of the Beit Kodesh Memorial
Board, Tree of Life and other items that
have been incorporated into the B'nai
Moshe building.

who will co-present the medallions,

of Jewish concern that has made them
highly deserving of this honor."

Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and
