HARRIET STONE BROWN, 92, of Palo Alto, Calif., formerly a 24-year resi- dent of Huntington Brown Woods and 26-year resident of Longboat Key, Fla., died Oct. 17, 2011. She was born in Detroit on Aug. 14, 1919, to Louis and Bertha Stone. She married Henry Brown, originally of Kansas City, in 1943, when he was a research chemist and inventor. Her husband predeceased her March 15, 2001. Prior to raising her children, Mrs. Brown worked at B'nai B'rith in Detroit. She enjoyed listening to classical music, cooking, antiquing, playing bridge and following U.S. poli- tics. She was a lifelong member of Hadassah and ORT. She is survived by her daugh- ter, Paula Brown of New York City; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis Brown and Kay Yoffee Brown of Menlo Park, Calif.; grandchildren, Berry Lauren Brown (Matthew Rosen) and Ian Samuel Brown; great- granddaughter, Ellie Bennett Rosen.
