year, and he was troubled by
what he saw.
"I started to notice how segregated
our school was," Morof said. "The Jewish
students hung out together in front of
the staircase, the Muslims in the library,
and the Chaldean students would stand
together in the main hallway."
Now a senior, Morof says he knew
something had to be done. His solu-
tion was to form a group called "Face to
Faith" to bring Christian, Muslim and
Jewish teenagers together. The idea
evolved from an October 2010 Chaldean-
Jewish high-school teen forum hosted
by Bloomfield Hills Schools and the
Building Community Initiative of the
Chaldean News and Jewish News.
