She is survived by her husband
of 41 years, Howard Shapiro; son
and daughter-in-law, Steve and
Rachel Wilke-Shapiro of Des Moines,
Iowa; daughter, Abbe Shapiro of
Indianapolis, Ind.; grandchildren,
Ian and Jonah Wilke-Shapiro and Sky
Shapiro-Pelis; brother and sister-in-
law, Larry Bayer and Jane Southwick
of Roslindale, Mass.; mother, Jean
Bayer of Del Ray Beach, Fla.
Mrs. Bayer-Shapiro was the cher-
ished daughter of the late Iry Bayer.

Elliot Weingarten; great-granddaugh-
ter, Jullian Krauss; sister, Sara Berlin;
many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Berlin was the devoted
daughter of the late Jack and the late
Fannie Whiteman; the dear sister-
in-law of the late Max Berlin, the
late Jennie Tugman, the late Anne
and the late Sam Solomon, and the
late Joseph Berlin.
