HERMINE
(LIPMAN) SILVER,
79, formerly of
Franklin, died Oct. 7,
2011.
She was a Phi Beta
Kappa at Wayne
State University with
Silver
a master's degree in
English. She served
on the board and held officer positions
at National Council of Jewish Women
Detroit chapter. Mrs. Silver worked
diligently on legislation and scholar-
ship committees and participated
in tutoring program in the Ferndale
school system. Also, she was an honor-
ary board member of the NCJW chap-
ter in Sarasota, Fla. She volunteered
as a librarian at Temple Beth Israel on
Longboat Key, Fla.
Mrs. Silver was the beloved wife of
Howard; loving mother of Greta Silver
and Abby Lasky; proud grandmother
of Daniel, Jenna and Samantha Lasky.
Memorial services were held at
Temple Beth Israel on Longboat Key on
Oct. 9. They will also be held at Temple
Jeremiah in Northfield, Ill., on Oct. 14.
Contributions may be made to the
National Council of Jewish Women.

LAURA TAYLOR,
65, of Bloomfield
Hills, died Oct. 6,
2011.
She is survived
by her daughters
and sons-in-law,
Megan and Barry
Taylor
Janovsky, Erin
and Cass Casucci
of Bloomfield Hills; grandchildren,
Hanna, Alex, Drew, Charlotte and Will;
brother, Mark Dorsey of Columbus,
Ohio; sister and brother-in-law, Marty
and Sam Davis of Columbus; sister-in-
law, Marcia (Bernard) Shapiro; many
loving nieces, nephews, other family
members and friends.
Mrs. Taylor was the beloved wife of
the late Dr. Jerry A. Taylor.
Contributions may be made to the
National Multiple Sclerosis Society or
to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer
Institute. Interment was held at the
Machpelah Cemetery in Ferndale.

ROBERT WINE, 77,
of Bloomfield
Township, died Oct.
3, 2011.
He is survived by

and Emily Wine of Royal Oak; grand-
children, Sarah Lynch, Adam Lynch,

Edward Leibson.
Mr. Wine was the beloved husband
of the late Bonnie Wine; the cherished
father of the late Brenda Stimer; the
dear brother of the late Rosara Leibson.
