We offer top-notch care, including: • All private rooms with half baths • Jewish Parents Institute, Workmen's Circle join forces to educate. wo local Jewish organiza- tions, each with a long history of creative programming, announce a new partnership as they work to provide top-notch Jewish cul- tural education to children and adults throughout Metro Detroit. The Jewish Parents Institute (JPI) and the Workmen's Circle/Arbeter Ring (WCAR) are both located at the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit, with JPI in West Bloomfield and WCAR in Oak Park. Each provides secular ritual oppor- tunities such as holiday observances, bar/bat mitzvah celebrations and more. "We are very excited to be working together:' said JPI Executive Director Marilyn Wolfe. "We have a lot to con- tribute to each other and a lot to learn from one another. I can't wait for the opportunities I know will come with this new and exciting partnership." WCAR families now will participate in the JPI Sunday school program, which has been educating children for more than 64 years. WCAR will con- tinue to run its adult ed and cultural programming, which will be open to JPI families. WCAR also offers Yiddish language classes for adults, a Yiddish chorus and adult-focused monthly gatherings. Both groups provide secular High Holiday observances and, this year, each group's services are open to the other. JPI offers cultural holiday ser- vices suitable for children that are free and open to the public. WCAR, where services are also free and open to the public, hosts secular holiday obser- vances that welcome families, but are more adult-oriented. In October, the JPI will open its sukkah at the JCC to WCAR families. "The boards of both JPI and WCAR consider this partnership a celebra- tion of our individual strengths, but also an opportunity to go from strength to strength. We will retain our individuality as organizations with rich histories and will benefit from one another:" said Daniella Mechnikov, Workmen's Circle Program Coordinator.
