Kales and Paul Sacks; proud great-
grandparents are Lorraine and Paul
Kales.
Caitlyn attends Abbott Middle
School in West Bloomfield. Her most
meaningful mitzvah project was vol-
unteering at the JCC Thursday night
social group.

Torah as a bar mitz-
vah on Saturday,
Aug. 27, at
Congregation Beth
Shalom in Oak Park.
He is the son of
Marcus
Michelle Black and
Howard Marcus and
brother of Sydney Marcus. Proud
grandparents are Ruth and David
Marcus of Southfield and Carol Black
of Chicago. He is also the grandson of
the late Sidney Black.
Ari is an eighth-grade student at
Norup International School in Oak
Park.

Jaynie Lynn Karp,
daughter of Judy and
David Karp of
Birmingham, will be
called to the Torah
as a bat mitzvah on

Gardens, Fla. Jaynie will be joined by

Jaynie is an eighth-grader at Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit
in Farmington Hills. For her mitzvah
project, Jaynie has chosen to provide
help to Haven House in Pontiac.
