Since many grandparents in this relationship feel unsure of how or if they can share Judaism with their grandchildren, National Council of Jewish Women, Greater Detroit Section is offering Grandparents Circle, a program that equips grand- parents with skills and techniques, as well as demonstrates how grand- parents might do this in an interest- ing and engaging way. Each meeting will provide a sup- portive and open-minded environ- ment in which participants can acknowledge their challenges and achievements and express their frustrations. The facilitator is Phyllis Levitt. The group will meet on Tuesdays for five evening sessions beginning Sept. 20 through Oct. 18, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Meetings will be held at the NCJW/GDS office in Southfield. For information or to join this supportive and understanding community of peers, call SPACE for Changing Families, (248) 355-9936 or email space@ncjwgds.org . Pre- registration is required. There is no charge for the program. Donations are welcome.
