A MICHIGAN COMPANY
SERVING YOU.

Coming Or Going

H

eve you ever had days when
you were not sure if you were
coming or going? It's a like
scenario in these hectic days of hustle
and bustle.
There are words in our language
that are called palindromes, words
that read the same way backwards and
forwards (such
as RADAR).
There are also
those words
that when
spelled back-
ward make
another word
that may or
may not relate
to the original.
Those are ones
I would like to
consider at this
time.
Do you think that product manu-
facturers are aware that their products
may elicit some unusual responses
when considered in the way I put
forth? If so, the maker of TUMS would
have reconsidered that it spells SMUT.
For those who like to ponder the
meaning of life and other such pon-

derables, they
should look at the
word LIVE; it is
EVIL. Wow!
Negatives are
never pleasant encoun-
ters. Weigh, if you will, the
thought that NOT backwards is
TON. Heavy, no?
Those with TIME on
the their hands may
wish to EMIT new
ideas and concepts for
consideration.
Nicknames are sometimes
welcomed and sometimes not. But
if you DUB your friend BUD, you
may want to make sure he is OK
with it.
Have you ever had a BUR stuck
to your clothes? If so, I am sure that
having to remove it would RUB you
the wrong way; it's a sticky business
at best.
A BUS ride will never SUB for a
limousine, but then we take what we
can get ... or afford.
Some people are collectors. Among
their prizes they may have a stash
of TINS and having to throw any
away may produce a SNIT; be wary

when suggesting such an extreme. Of
course, those who favor POTS may
just be told to STOP.
For what it is worth, the word
MOTEL spelled backward is LET OM
(sound it out). That certainly won't
help the reputation in such establish-
ments.
Ah, well ... I'd best stop before my
RAP proves that my efforts are below
PAR. I
