government officials and other religious
and ethnic communities is vital to the

the Jewish community.
For more than seven decades, JCRC has
been proud to serve in that role, although
doing so has been especially challeng-
ing in recent years. We will continue to
review what we do, how we do it, what
needs to be changed and what needs to
remain in order to maximize the benefit
JCRC brings to the Jewish community.

Yoskowitz will facilitate 11:45 a.m.-1
p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 8, 15 and 22. He
will discuss tractates pertaining to Rosh
Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot,

Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington
Hills will sponsor a blood drive 7:45 a.m.-
1:20 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11. Red Cross spe-
cialists will be on hand.
Donors should be at least 17 years old,
weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good
health.

"Healing from Loss:' a free bereave-
ment support group will meet 10 times

Yad Ezra Included In
Meijer's Simply Give Program
Meijer is including Yad Ezra in its Simply
Give Program, which aims to help local
food pantries. From now through Sept.
24, at the Southfield Meijer located on 12
Mile Road and Telegraph, customers can
purchase a Simply Give card for $10 at the
checkout. Each customer donation will be
matched by Meijer (up to $100,000) and
will result in a store credit that Yad Ezra
will then use to purchase food and toilet-
ries for client families.
