Celebrants included sister Mia; Ruby's dad, Peter Cassidy; grandmother Barbara Cantor of West Bloomfield; aunts, Nancy Cohen Vardy, Marcy Grantor of Seattle, Jody Cantor, Wendy Vandegrift of Santa Cruz. Ruby is in eighth grade at Salmon Bay School in Seattle. Her mitzvah project involved gathering supplies and cooking for 100 homeless men and women. Samantha is an eighth-grade student at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills. Her most meaningful mitz- vah project was making and sell- ing bracelets, which she worked on with her nana, mom and sister; she then donated all the money to the Holocaust Memorial Center in Farmington Hills.
