THEODORE P. MASON, 94, of West
Bloomfield, died Aug. 21, 2011.
He survived by his beloved wife,
Alice L. Mason of West Bloomfield;
sons and daughter-in-law, Howard
Mason of Taylor, Charles Mason
and Jacqueline Zogut of West
Bloomfield; daughter, Laura Mason
of Milford; sister and brother-in-
law, Ruth and Morris Kimmel; many
other loving family members and
friends.
Interment was held at Clover Hill
Park Cemetery in Birmingham.
Contributions may be made

STEPHEN M. PAULL, 69, of West
Bloomfield, died Aug. 19, 2011.
He was an attorney and co-found-
er of Medical Weight Loss Clinic.
Mr. Paull is survived by his
wife of 45 years, Rhoda Paull; his
children, Lainie and Nick Welham
of Bloomfield Hills, Francie Paull
and her fiance, Mike Fruitman, of
Ferndale, David and Nicole Paull of
Farmington Hills; grandchildren,
Charlie Rian Welham and Eva Rose
Welham; sister and brother-in-
law, Norinne and John Selesko of
Farmington Hills; sister-in-law and
brother-in-law, Stella and Jerry
Morof; aunt and uncle, Irene and
Ken Kronick; loving nieces, neph-
ews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Paull was the devoted son of
the late Ben and the late Etta Paull;
the dear son-in-law of the late
Joseph and the late Rae Wain.
Interment was held at Clover Hill
Park Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to a charity of one's choice.

DR. LOUIS
SAMUEL
POLLENS, 84, of
Kalamazoo, died
Aug. 18, 2011. He
was born to
Dorothy (Kasle)
and Joseph Pollens
Pollens
on May 18, 1927, in
Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from the
Ohio State University Medical
School and practiced the specialty
of internal medicine for 35 years in
the Detroit area. Many families were
grateful for the compassionate care
he provided to them over the years.
His wife, RosaLynn, worked
by his side as a registered nurse
for much of his career. Louis and
RosaLynn had four children and the
family enjoyed home life and travel-
ing together. In retirement, Louis

and RosaLynn moved to Kalamazoo,
where they spent the last 17 years.
Louis had time to enjoy gardening,
classical music and his family. He
will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife
of 58 years, RosaLynn (Beilis); son
Steve and his wife Robin; their chil-
dren, Andy, Karrie, and her husband
Eric; daughter Sandy Rebecca and
her husband James; their children,
Janna, Jesse and Evan; son Jeff and
his wife Livia; daughter Karen and
her husband Bern; their children,
Jaymes, Jonah, Micah, Shoshana
and Ellyannah.
Funeral arrangements were han-
dled by Langeland Family Funeral
Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th
St. Burial was in Jewish Mountain
Home Cemetery. Contributions
may be made to Congregation of
Moses or Temple B'nai Israel in

PORTNEY, 81, of

died Aug. 18, 2011.
He survived
by his sons and

Gary Portney and Julie Suppelsa of
San Francisco; daughter and son-
in-law, Marcy Portney and Richard
Preston of Farmington Hills; broth-
er and partner, Michael Portney and
Joanne Cini of New York; grand-
children, Jocelyn, Alexandra, Derek,
Ilana and Paige Ilysse; uncle, Walter
(Natalie) Frazis; aunt, Elaine Frazis;
many loving nieces, nephews and
cousins, other family members and
friends.
He was the brother of the late
Carole Chase-Klein; uncle of the
late Ted Frazis.
Interment was held at Beth
El Memorial Park Cemetery.
