Following the cer- emony, family and friends joined the happy couple in a New Orleans tradi- tion and paraded through the French Quarter accompa- nied by a New Orleans jazz band. Dinner and dancing followed in the historic building Latrobe's on Royal. Layne is the daughter of Marsha and Sheldon Sakwa. Tony is the son of Kerri and Sandy Litinsky and Lolly and Howard Averbuch. The best girl was Julia Averbuch, daughter of the groom. Other attendants were Merrek Sakwa, brother of the bride, and Sammy Averbuch, brother of the groom. Junior groomsmen were the groom's nephews Issac and Augie Averbuch and family friend Jonathan Kochensparger. The junior bridesmaid was family friend Leah Dunn. Josie Averbuch was the flower girl. Following a honeymoon in Bali and Hong Kong, the couple will reside in Bloomfield Hills. ark and Sonia Geoffrey of Bloomfield Hills are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Lauren Ann Geoffrey to Evan Philip Pisick. Lauren received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her law degree from Harvard Law School. She is a senior associate in the Private Wealth Services group at the Chicago law firm of Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP. Evan received his B.S. from the University of Rochester and his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City and a fel- lowship at Tufts University Medical Center in Boston. He is a medical oncologist at the Midwest Regional Medical Center of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Lauren and Evan met in the fall of 2007 and live in Chicago. Solomon 60th E rnie and Gloria Solomon of Franklin will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on Sept. 2, 1951, at B'nai David Synagogue in Detroit. Their two happily married children, Shelby and Teresa Solomon of Edina, Minn., and Robert and Stephanie (Solomon) Salzbank of Port Washington, N.Y., and five grandchildren, Jacob, Anna and Joshua Solomon and Jacquelyn and Lena Salzbank wish them a hearty mazel toy and many more happy years together.
