to announce the engagement of their chil-
dren Michal Tamar Newman and Adam
Michael Shlom. Michal is also the daughter
of the late David B. Newman.
Although they are both graduates of Hillel
Day School, they did not meet until 15 years
later. Adam earned a degree from Michigan
State University as well as a recording arts
degree from Full Sail University in Winter
Park, Fla. Michal is a graduate of Eastern
Michigan University with a degree in psy-
chology.
An October wedding is planned at Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington
Hills.

engagement of their son Dr. Ryan
Scott Stybel to Kristina Dagmar Korinek,
daughter of Eileen and Karl Korinek of Troy.
Ryan earned a B.S. in human biology from
MSU and a doctor of optometry from New
England School of Optometry. He is optom-
etrist/owner of Positive Eye Ons Optometry
in Los Angeles.
Kristina received a B.A. in business
administration from MSU. She is director
of sales and marketing for Twelfth Street by
Cynthia Vincent and Cynthia Vincent Shoes
and Handbags in Los Angeles.
An October wedding is planned at Terranea Resort in California.

Feldman 97th

earl Ressler Feldman of West
Bloomfield celebrated her 97th
birthday on July 29 surrounded by
family and friends. To mark this milestone, a
family gathering was given by her children,
Jackie and Mark Wedes, Gail and David
Amster. Grandchildren, Solly, Mathew and
Stephanie Amster along with Sam Wedes,
were there to join Grandma on the special
day. Family and friends wish her many more
years of health and happiness.
