EUGENE "GENE"
ROTTMAN, of West
Bloomfield, died July
10, 2011.
He was born and
raised in Scranton,
Pa. He attended
University of
Rottman
Connecticut, followed
by service in the U.S.
Army, where he served in France for two
years. After returning to Scranton, he
married "Tiby." They were married for
almost 57 wonderful years. He initially
worked in the family jewelry business
before being introduced to the garment
industry. He owned several factories,
which manufactured women's dresses.
He retired from this business after 30
years and moved to Orlando, Fla.
Mr. Rottman was very active in the
Jewish communities of both Scranton
and Orlando, where he resided for
25 years prior to moving to West
Bloomfield four years ago.
He is survived by his devoted sons
and daughters-in-law, Dr. Michael
and Ann Rottman of West Bloomfield,
Kenny and Betsy Rottman of Sanibel
Island, Fla.; loving grandchildren,
Geoffrey and Brandon Rottman.
