The Credit Union Perspective

Do you have a credit card that's right for you?
John Normandeau, CEO
understand what is really being offered. Many times the credit card has a zero
percentage rate for the first six months and then jumps to eighteen percent after that
or the great rate is only good on new purchases and not balance transfers. Another tip is
to look for balance transfer fees. These can range from 2.5% of the amount transferred
which can really add up. These credit card companies are banking on the fact that you
won't read the fine print.
What about the credit cards that you already have? Do you know the interest rate and
any fees/charges associated with these cards? Most people have a credit card that they
use on a regular basis, however they've had it so long they don't really remember all the
details of the card. It's important to make sure that you know everything there is to
know about your credit card and make sure it meets your needs.
Summertime is often a time for vacations, home repairs or other big purchases and
having the right credit card for these purchases couldn't be more important.
At BestSource Credit Union our mission is to improve our members' financial lives.
We offer a great credit card with a low fixed rate, no annual fee, no balance transfer fee
and the opportunity to earn rewards with the card. Stop by a branch or give us a call at

most people you get credit card offers in the mail on a
daily basis. While these credit card offers may sound
really great, it's important to read the entire offer and
