J Street from page 25

cant contributions from Turkish
American Mehmet Celebi,
producer of the film Valley of
the Wolves, an anti-Israeli work
that was banned in Germany
for its anti-Semitic theme.
J Street also receives fund-
ing from the attorney for the
Saudi Arabian Embassy, pro-
Palestinian activists, Arab
American leaders and the
National Iranian American
Council. The donors' money has
been well spent.
In addition to hating Israel,
George Soros also is a brilliant
investor. He and his anti-Israel
friends realized that, unlike
other anti-Israel organizations,
J Street could hide behind its
status as a Jewish nonprofit
"pro-Israel" organization.
The organization's
"Jewishness" makes it that
much more effective in reach-
ing young Jewish Americans.
In fact, if Facebook can serve
as a measure of popularity, the
J Street page has more than
13,000 fans — that's more than
half the amount the American
Israel Public Affairs Committee
(AIPAC) page has. J Street is
doing more damage to Israel
than any of the other openly
anti-Israel organizations in
existence.
Michael Oren, Israeli ambas-
sador to Washington, accu-
rately expresses what J Street
stands for:
"J Street claims they're
pro-Israel. They are calling for
Israel to be condemned in the
Security Council for the settle-
ments, and they are condemn-
ing some of our best friends on
the Hill. So they can call them-
selves what they like."
Any person and any organi-
zation have the right to express
their view — be it for or against
Israel. Surely, we hear plenty
of criticism from anti-Israel
parties. The danger in J Street
is that it insists upon calling
itself a pro-Israel organiza-
tion. Its successful promotion
as such to a vulnerable young
Jewish population brings us to
the conclusion that the only
thing more threatening than
an enemy is an enemy who dis-
guises itself as a friend. ri

Thanks to our Saturday morning school,
B'nai Moshe kids can pretend to be superheroes
they've never seen in cartoons.

Mordecai. Queen Esther. King David. Abraham. They're just a few of the Jewish
heroes your kids will want to emulate when they attend the LIFE. (Learning is a
Family Experience) education program at Congregation B'nai Moshe.

Our kids become interested, excited and connected with Jewish life. We offer top
teachers, small class sizes, innovative learning and unique family programs. Parental
participation is a key to our success.

We also have a Tot Shabbat program on Shabbat mornings for the pre-K crowd.
