and Carmel, Ind., recently cel-
ebrated his 95th birthday at a
luncheon at McCormick & Schmick's in
Troy. The party, attended by 40 friends and
family members, included four generations:
six months to 95 years. Those who were
unable to be there in person sent mazel
too messages presented in a celebration
album. Wishes for continued good health
came from his wife Shirley, children, step-
children, grandchild, great-grandchildren,
nieces and nephews.

of their daughter Shannon Lee Fink to Tal
Slemrod, son of Sonia and Marshall Slemrod
of Jerusalem, Israel.
Shannon received a B.A. from University
of Michigan in 2007 and is pursuing gradu-
ate studies at University of Washington in
photography. She works for a graphic design
and printing company in Seattle, Wash.
Tal received his B.A. from Clark University;
has completed his master's in environmen-
tal science at California State University-
Fullerton and will be a full-time Ph.D. candidate in September at the University
of Washington. He teaches high school biology in Kent, Wash.
They met on JDate.com in early 2007 and live in Seattle.
An August 2011 wedding is planned in Seattle with Rabbi Joshua Bennett of
Temple Israel officiating.

Andrea has a bachelor of arts in commu-
nication arts and sciences from Penn State
University and is a Ph.D. candidate in the
School of Communication at the University
of California, Santa Barbara.
Brian has a bachelor of science in corn-
puter engineering from the University of
Michigan. He worked at Intel and Qualcomm
Corporations in California before returning to school and is a Ph.D. candidate in
computer science at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
The wedding will take place in State College, Pa., in August.
