Present seating at Chic-N
Ribs is around 99 in its usual
exceptionally clean atmosphere
of both the dining room and
kitchen, each of which Miles
and Olga are very particular, as
should definitely always be of
major concern when choosing
a restaurant.
The return of Miles and
Olga is greatly welcomed ...
Gratifying satisfaction that
comes from a mom-and pop-restaurant
operation's food and service is unbeatable.
MORE NATIONWIDE note comes to

READER MINI REVIEW ... by Armen
Darakjian ... "We had a fine dining
experience recently at Luxe restaurant in
Birmingham which was like nothing else
in Michigan. I've been in the luxury jew-
elry industry all my life and working with
world-famous brands has given me won-
derful travels where I can enjoy the foods
of many nations, tasting some of the best
dishes available anywhere.
"Luxe on Old Woodward is an experi-
ence of flavor, personality and service. It
is a quaint 15 or 20-table cafe/bistro in a

r L

town that has seen restaurants come and
go. The clientele is tough, and that only
makes the best stand out. Many travel-
ers, many experienced in the restaurant
profession, have made Luxe a sure-fire hit.
Birmingham is demanding, but if the cor-
rect dining offerings are given, the seats
will be filled. Quality, service, taste and
value are requirements. My friends find no
qualms paying for something that tastes
great and is special.
"We found Luxe to be a vibrant, cozy
and personal establishment. The husband
and wife owners make sure their staff is
trained to provide food that pleases their
customers. The quarter-circle bar is usu-
ally filled. The staff is cheery and pleasant
and great at suggesting items.
All Luxe salads are served in a deep
bowl, not spread out on a flat plate. A
variety of appetizers allow customers to
rev up their taste buds for the main event.
Fish tacos to fried pickles to wings with
something for everyone. The burgers are
amazing. A veggie burger makes eating a
burger something to put on a person's diet
list. Its flavor is explosive, and the texture
is perfect. All entrees at Luxe have a certain
fineness to them. For dessert, we found the
deep-fried Oreo's well worth the calories."
