celebrated Lag b'Omer in
the atrium on Friday, May 20, with
a story from Rabbi Aaron Bergman
and a songfest led by Cantor Daniel
Gross and music teacher Robin
Goldberg.
Lag b'Omer is a minor yet joyous
Jewish holiday that falls between
Passover and Shavuot (June 8). The
holiday occurs during the counting
of the Omer, a time of mourning; yet
on Lag b'Omer it is permissible for
marriages to take place, children can
play in parks and bonfires are lit to
represent the light of Torah.

Rabbi Aaron Bergman reads to a gathering of Adat Shalom preschoolers on Lag b'Omer.
