Call for Nominees for the 24th Annual

The other conference teams
are Michigan State, Central
Michigan, Western Michigan,
Ferris State and Northwood.
It was Ehrmann's second trip
to the regional. When he went
as a sophomore, U-M left disap-
pointed after Illinois beat the
Wolverines twice in the finals of
the double-elimination tourna-
ment.
There was no stopping U-M
this season. The Wolverines beat
Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Indiana
and Miami (Ohio) in their three
regional games.
Even though No. 8 seed
Michigan lost 5-2 to No. 1 seed
UC-Santa Barbara and 3-2 to No.
5 seed Florida State in its only
games in the eight-team World
Series, Ehrmann said playing on
collegiate club baseball's biggest
stage was a great experience.
Golden Park is a 5,000-seat
baseball-only stadium located
on the Chattahoochee River in
downtown Columbus, Ga. It has
been home to several minor-
league games since it opened in
1926.
Now it's on to the real world
for Ehrmann, 21, who gradu-
ated from U-M with a bachelor's
degree in communication stud-
ies. He began working June 6 at
the Campbell Ewald advertising
agency in Detroit, focusing on
business development.

Off And Running
Defending champion Shir
Shalom beat Temple Kol Ami
19-5 on opening day for the
Inter-Congregational Men's Club
Summer Softball League.
David Gach and Jeff Fox
played well defensively for Shir
Shalom, and Michael Halbany
reached base in every at-bat for
Kol Ami.
Also on opening day at Keith
Fields: Jeff Hollander hit a two-
run homer and pitched seven
solid innings for Temple Beth El;
Roger Lewis fielded a ball in left-
center and threw out a runner
at home plate for Adat Shalom;
David Kozlowski banged out
three hits and Richard Jacobs
had a three-pitch inning on the
mound for Shaaray Zedek; and
