harlotte M. Dubin was pre-
sented with the 2011 Leonard
N. Simons History Award by the
Jewish Historical Society of Michigan
(JHSM) on May 18. Dubin, an award-
winning writer and editor for many
publications, including Michigan Jewish
History and the Detroit Jewish News, was
honored for her passionate commitment
to documenting and preserving Metro
Detroit's Jewish community history.
The JHSM also welcomed keynote
