The Southfield resident competed in two of the four local JWI leagues and was on the championship team in both of them. Teams are put together by league officials based on averages to keep the league competitive. "The women on both of my teams got along well and always encouraged each other',' Lawrence said. "That's why we were suc- cessful." Lawrence was a member of the Shreigevalt team in the Galilee Monday League. Each of the eight league teams had three bowlers.
