Dr. Jane Krasnick of

recently appointed to

tant professor at the
Oakland University
William Beaumont
School of Medicine in
Krasnick
Auburn Hills. She has
been affiliated with
William Beaumont Hospital since 2000.
She is in private practice at Warren
Allergy & Asthma Care PC in Warren
and specializes in allergy and clinical
immunology. The scope of her practice
includes evaluating and treating both
children and adults with asthma, aller-
gies (environmental, drug, food, skin)
and immune disorders.

Jordan Levin of West Bloomfield was
awarded the Outstanding Alumnus
Award from the Resource Center for
Persons with Disabilities at Michigan
State University. This is in recognition
of a MSU graduate who is successful in

his field and continues
to display outstanding
leadership in represent-
ing the abilities of those
in the disability corn-
munity.
At age 21/2, he was
diagnosed as being

profoundly deaf was
told he would not be
able to speak and needed sign language
as his means of communication. His
parents taught Jordan how to speak.
Currently he is a well-respected moti-
vational speaker. He is the founder of
the Jordan Levin Childhood Obesity
Foundation, which sends economically
challenged overweight children and their
families to local hospitals to learn meth-
ods to combat obesity, and the owner of
CrossFit Bloomfield, an exercise facility
in Bloomfield Hills.

The Michigan
Association for College
Admission Counseling
has bestowed its high-
est honor upon John
Boshoven, Frankel
Jewish Academy's direc-
tor of college coun-

Gramenz Award is
given annually to a college counselor for
outstanding service to students, counsel-
ing, the profession and the association.
Boshoven also has been selected to
join the Inaugural National Counselor
Advisory Committee for the University of

Chicago. He also serves on the advisory
councils for the University of Michigan,
University of Toledo and Wayne State
University.
