Mary and Norman Keane
moved to Detroit in 1998 when
Norm became CEO of Jewish
Family Service. Two years later,
Mary joined Hebrew Free Loan as
their Executive Director.
Together they built their lives here,
creating strong bonds with many
friends and colleagues. They have
served their agencies and our
community with exceptional pro-
fessionalism, deep compassion
and exemplary dedication.
This fall Mary and Norm will
retire from their esteemed careers
but not from helping the people
that they have spent their lives
supporting — the most vulnerable
among us. In their honor, the
Keane Community Crisis Fund
has been established to provide
emergency financial assistance
to individuals and families who
are jointly served by HFL and JFS.
This fund will leverage the best
resources of both agencies for
those in dire need.
