Conductor Lipsky joins the Ann Arbor JCC for preschool program.

n April 28, Arie Lipsky, principal conductor and music director of the Ann
Arbor Symphony, came to visit preschoolers at the Jewish Community Center

beautifully with Lipsky; then Netanel played a piece on his own.
Then symphony staff members brought out child-sized violins and cellos for the pre-
schoolers to try. Children moved around, getting one-on-one instruction on how to hold
the instruments and generate sound. For information about the ECC, go to

annual Boys Wake-a-thon (from 11 p.m. on a Saturday night until 7
