HELEN
BALBERMAN
MOSKOWITZ, 86,

of West Bloomfield,
died May 2, 2011.
She was the
former owner of
Balberman Egg
Moskowitz
Company, a whole-
sale distributor of
eggs throughout the
Detroit metropolitan
area. Balberman
Egg was located in
Hollusir Detroit and then
Str
moved to Troy.
Balberman Egg was
in business from 1953 until 1981.
A Holocaust survivor, Mrs.
Moskowitz was a founder and active
member of Shaarit Haplaytah and was
active in finding jobs for Holocaust
survivors.
She was a singer in Jewish musical
theater.
She is survived by her children,
Linda and Dr. Thomas Ditkoff, Nick
Balberman, Sherri and Gary Morof;
grandchildren, Howard and Jeffrey
Ditkoff, Ryan Balberman, Joshua and
Rachel Morof.
Mrs. Balberman Moskowitz was
the beloved wife of the late Harry
Balberman; one of eight children of the
late Naftula and the late Toba Lithe, who
perished in the Holocaust with five of
their children; sister of the late Genia
Godzik and the late Morris Lithe.
Interment at Hebrew Memorial

SIDNEY "PETER"
PATTERSON, 80, of

Farmington Hills,
died April 27, 2011.
He was a post-
man in Detroit for
25 years. Perhaps
best known as a
Patterson
bartender at the
Raleigh House during its heyday, Mr.
Patterson was also the head bartender
at the Olympia Room at the Joe Louis
Arena. He was a Korean War veteran,
having served in the Navy. He was also
a member of Perfection Lodge.
Mr. Patterson is survived by his
daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly
and Chris Stergiadis of Commerce
Township, Chanel and David Kutek of
Keego Harbor, Stephanie Patterson of
Northville and Stacey Sauvageat; sons
and daughter-in-law, Grant and Dawn
Patterson of Commerce Township,
Jason Patterson of Redford and Joshua
Patterson of Redford; companion,
Ruth Newman; eight grandchildren;
sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and
Michael Koress.
He was the dear brother of the late
Jerry Patterson.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
