4-6th Grade Hebrew Learning Options

Sunday and Mid-Week Hebrew

Students who select this track will come on Sundays as well as
one afternoon during the week, Monday or Tuesday at Temple, or
Wednesday at Seaholm High School in Birmingham. This program is a
wonderful way for our students to be engaged in Jewish learning and
to develop their Hebrew skills.

We are offering several 4-6th Grade Hebrew
learning options for this fall:

1. Accelerated Hebrew Program—Sunday and Tuesday ONLY

This class is for those families who want a challenging and intensive
opportunity to learn Hebrew.
• In addition to our Kol Yisrael—prayer curriculum, students will also
learn Conversational Hebrew.
• Regular attendance and homework will be mandatory.
• During the 3 Kesher Elective rotations, students will take one rotation
of Conversational Hebrew, one rotation of the Required Kesher, and
one rotation of a class of their choice.
• 15 student minimum for us to be able to offer this program.

2• Sunday ONLY Hebrew Program

This program will meet the needs of students who are not able to
attend regular Hebrew School classes during the week.
• Regular attendance and completion of homework will be mandatory.
This is even more critical since students will only meet once per week.
• Classes will begin PROMPTLY at 8:30 AM and end at 12:10 PM at the
JCC—This will provide the necessary extra learning time.
• Students will participate in 2 Hebrew learning periods on Sunday
mornings.
•There is a 15 student enrollment minimum for us to be able to offer
this program.

3. Sunday I Home Tutoring Program

This program will meet the needs of students who are not able to attend
regular Hebrew School classes during the week and would like to work
one-on-one with a Hebrew Tutor instead.
•There will be an additional fee of $950.
• Families with more than one student will receive a 20% discount.
•Tutors are provided through Temple Israel ONLY.
• Mid-Week tutoring sessions are 40 minutes in length.
•Tutors are not available on Sundays.
•This option is subject to the availability of tutors.

If you have questions, please contact the
Tyner Religious School Office at 248-661-5725.
