worldwide; Jackie
Kallen, the first
lady of boxing
and entrepre-
neur extraordi-
naire; and Jeff
Bass, musician
Jackie Kellen
and two-time
Grammy and
Oscar winner and
producer of many
of Eminem's early
songs.

Detroiter, come-
dian and writer
Jeff Bass
producer Mike
Young, will enter-
tain. Zach Smilovitz from the corn-
edy circuit in New York will be the
evening's moderator. Dinner sta-
tions will feature all the old Detroit
favorites like kosher Coney's and
sliders, Faygo products, the old
Hudson's Maurice Salad and, of
course, a Sanders dessert bar. Rub
shoulders with Michigan athletes
and bid on some one-of-a-kind
auction items with auctioneers

Dan Gilbert of Franklin, co-
founder and chairman of Quicken
Loans in Detroit, was instrumental
in helping settle the recent strike
by musicians against the Detroit
Symphony Orchestra.
Gilbert and Matt Cullen, COO of
Rock Ventures, a Quicken Loans
subsidiary, spent many hours
mediating the impasse between the
musicians and DSO management.
As a "thank you:' the DSO gave
all 1,900 seats at Orchestra Hall to
Quicken employees for the April
29 performance of "Disney in
Concert:'
