Royal Highness from page 3
Q: How long does it take for your
transformation?
A: The makeup is the toughest part.
It costs me big bucks by a makeup
artist and takes about a half hour to
apply. The dress is easy to slip in and
out of, but don't get me started about
my brassiere and those heels! Ugh,
what's a girl to do?
Q: You spent many years doing
impersonations on the radio. Is this
bringing you back to your comedy
roots?
A: First of all, never tell a queen
she has roots! But yes, the real point
behind my queen "shtick" is to let
people know I'm still in the comedic
writing and performing game. I don't
have any grand illusions about how far
"The Queen" will take me. But if it gets
the word out that I still have a lot of
creativity to offer, then it will be worth
all the money I've spent on blush and
mascara.
Q: What's the worst thing about
your alter ego?
A: The high heels. It makes dancing
tough. That and the humiliation your
wife and kids feel seeing their husband/
father prancing around in a dress.
Q: Have you ever been to England?
A: Does Epcot at Disney World
count? If so, then yes, I've been to
England. Seriously, though, I would
love to visit as I'm fascinated by all the
history.
Q: What would your advice to Will
and Kate be?
A: If you're talking "Monarch"
advice, I would tell those two crazy
kids to learn from the royals' past mis-
takes. And from what I've read, they
seem to be a new generation of roy-
als that is more down to earth, more
human.
As for marital advice, I'd say that
marriage is a marathon. Be patient
because the longer you're married, the
smarter you get and the more grateful
you become to have a great partner
in life. I'm not sure where I'd be today
without my wife of 27 years and our
two amazing kids. With them I feel like
I'm "The King of the World!" ... sorry,
"Queen of the World!"
Q: Is there anything Will and Kate
can learn from a Jewish entertainer?
Take a jacket with you; you never
know when it's going to be drafty. And
it wouldn't hurt you to call your par-
ents once in awhile. 'Li

Suspect Arrested
In Chabad Attack
LOS ANGELES (JTA) — The sus-
pect in an explosion outside of a
Southern California Chabad House
was arrested after he was recog-
nized while praying in a suburban
Cleveland synagogue.
Ron Hirsch, 60,
also known as
Israel Fisher, was
arrested April 11
in a Cleveland
Heights syna-
gogue and Jewish
center by the FBI
Ron Hirsch
and local police
shortly after
evening prayers as he sat studying
from a Jewish text.
Hirsch had visited the syna-
gogue the night before, where he
prayed and then asked the rabbi for
food and a place to stay. The rabbi
bought him dinner and put him up
at a local hotel instead of offering
to let him stay at the local Hebrew
shelter, since Hirsch was not able to
produce the proper credentials to be
allowed to stay there.
The next day, the rabbi saw
Hirsch's photo on a Jewish website.
The April 7 blast at the Santa
Monica Chabad House forced the
evacuation of the Jewish center
and synagogue during early morn-
ing prayers. It raised security
concerns at Los Angeles-area syna-
gogues and Jewish institutions.
The explosion launched a 300-
pound metal pipe encased in con-
crete, which smashed through the
roof of a home next door to the
Chabad House.
Items found near the site were
linked to Hirsch.

Rights tallied 965 cases of harass-
ment, 317 incidents of vandalism
and 24 cases of violence.
The numbers also represent a
four-fold increase over the past
decade.
Electricity Cut To
Rambam's Tomb
JERUSALEM (JTA) — Visitors to
the tomb of Jewish scholar and phi-
losopher Moses Maimonides have
been left in the dark. That's because
the rabbis who manage the site in
the Israeli city of Tiberias neglected
to pay the electric bills over a long
period of time.
