His most notable community accomplishments include his endowment of the Hiller ALS Clinic and Research Center at WSU School of Medicine and his continuing support of ALS of Michigan - Lou Gehrig's Disease. Jim has a personal interest in ALS. His mother, Harriet Hiller, lost her battle to the disease in 2000. Since that time Jim has been dedicated to Michigan's ALS community, both through his commitment to research, and his continuing support for the needs of pALS (person with ALS) and their families to help them live every day as fully as possible.
