Jewish Book Fair
Seeks Child Authors
"Kids Can Be Authors, Too!" is a pro-
gram designed to nurture literary tal-
ent and offer young Jewish authors the
opportunity to share their books with
a wider audience. The program will
take place Sunday, Nov. 6, at the 60th
Annual Jewish Book Fair at the Jewish
Community Center in Oak Park.
It is open to Jewish students in
grades 3-5 and 6-8. The entry can be a
work of fiction or nonfiction (including
short stories) written and published as
part of a school curriculum whether
public, day or synagogue-affiliated.
The entry must be published in
book form so that it can be sold dur-
ing the Book Fair. Participants should
be prepared to promote and present
their work on Sunday, Nov. 6.
Submissions are due June I. For a
