Passover Book Fair
At Temple Israel
A book fair carnival will be held at
Temple Israel in West Bloomfield
Tuesday, April 12, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.;
Wednesday, April 13, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.;
and Thursday, April 14, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Bestsellers, award-winning books,
chapter books, picture books and
books especially for Passover, as well
as hundreds of other items for chil-
dren and families will be for sale.
Proceeds will purchase new class-
room materials for the temple's Early
Childhood Center and to support
author visits.

Temple Israel will host Once Upon
a Time with the Wild Swan Theater at
the book fair 11 a.m.-noon Thursday,
April 14. It will be a retelling of The
Three Little Pigs. Following the per-
formance, there will be crafts and
pictures with the performers.
Reservations are required. Children
must be accompanied by an adult.

Financial Aid Options
JVS, a non-profit human services
organization, will host a parent infor-
mation meeting about the Jewish
Educational Loan Service (JELS) and
additional financial aid options for
college students on Tuesday, April 12, 7
p.m. at JVS, 29699 Southfield Road in
Southfield.
JELS Coordinator Marvin Berman
will discuss how to apply for an inter-
est-free loan offered through the JELS
program and the availability of finan-
cial assistance through federal, state,
institutional and private sources.
