LUCILLE POLLACK, 86, of West
Bloomfield, died March 26, 2011.
She is survived by her nephews,
Joshua Pollack, Jay Friend, Eric Friend
and George Friend; sister-in-law, Polly
Friend; many other loving family
members and friends.
Ms. Pollack was the dear daughter
of the late David and the late Laura
Pollack; sister of the late Ronald I.
Pollack.
Interment was at the Clover Hill
Park Cemetery in Birmingham.
Contributions may be made to
the Karmanos Cancer Institute in
Detroit or to the Volunteer Program
at Children's Hospital of Michigan.
Arrangements were by Dorfman
Chapel.

SAM RODD, 95,
of Southfield, died
March 24, 2011.
A World War II
Army veteran, Mr.
Rodd served in New
Guinea and the
Southern Philippine
Rodd
Liberation. He
received three Bronze
Stars and a Purple Heart.
He was a member of the American
Legion. He also belonged to B'nai
B'rith and participated in their bowl-
ing league.
Mr. Rodd is survived by his wife of 68
years, Thelma Rodd; son and daughter-
in-law, David and Sue Rodd of Lake in
the Hills, Ill.; grandchildren, Jonathan
Rodd, Chris Rodd, Courtney Rodd;
many nieces and nephews, including,
Howard and Catherine Fridson, Martin
Fridson and Elaine Sisman, Sharon
Glen, Alvin and Barbara Rodd, Lowell
and Lynn Rodd, Allan and Joan Rodd,
Debbie and Dan Lelchuk; great-nieces
and great-nephews.
Mr. Rodd was the loving father of
the late Robb Rodd; dear brother of
the late Harold Rodd, the late Norman
Rodd, the late Joe Rodd, the late
Mariann Moore, the late Elsie Rodd;
dear brother-in-law of the late Sarah
Rodd, the late Hilda Rodd, the late
Rose Rodd, the late Jack Moore.
Contributions may be made to
Alzheimer's Association, 20300 Civic
Center Dr., #100, Southfield, MI 48076.
Interment was at Great Lakes
National Cemetery in Holly, Mich.
Arrangements by Hebrew Memorial
Chapel.
