Obituaries

ERNEST BAKER, 88, of West
Bloomfield, died March 26, 2011.
He was the owner, president and
CEO of Queen Quality Laundry,
founded in 1915 and still in busi-
ness. He was also a member of
Temple Israel for over 60 years.
Mr. Baker is survived by his
wife, Sylvia Baker; daughters and
sons-in-law, Deanna and Bob Slone
of Florida, Susan and Gary Miller
of Milan; son and daughter-in-
law, Bruce and Carole Baker of
Commerce Township; grandchil-
dren, Steven and Jennifer Slone and
Joshua Slone; great-grandchildren,
Samantha and Ryan Slone; sister-in-
law, Arlene Malin.
He was the loving brother of the
late Morton Baker; dear brother-in-
law of the late Ben Malin and the
late Nettie and the late Sol Friedman.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

EVA BERK, 91, of Oak Park, died
March 23, 2011.
She is survived by her sons
and daughters-in-law, Charles
and Debbie Berk of Irvine, Calif.,
Richard and Marilyn Berk of Ann
Arbor; daughter and son-in-law,
Shelley and Mickey Eizelman of
Oak Park; brother and sister-in-law,
Irving and Marilyn Tannenhaus of

90, of Oak Park,
died March 22,
2011.
For 25 years, he
was a mailer for
the Detroit News.
He was also a
Cohen
World War II Army
veteran and fought
in the Battle of the Bulge and was a
longtime member of Congregation
Beth Shalom.
Mr. Cohen is survived by his sons
and daughter-in-law, Fred and Judith
Cohen of Waterford, Jerrold Cohen
of Eastpointe; daughters and sons-
in-law, Andrea and Chris Ramus of
Troy and Julie and Dan Lammers
of Southfield; grandchildren, Erin
and Allison Lammers and Miranda

He was the beloved husband of
the late Marilyn Cohen; the loving
