Pilder-Freidman

andy and Ronald Friedman of
Northridge, Calif., and Wanda and
Bert Pilder of West Bloomfield are
delighted to announce the engagement
of Stephanie Helen Friedman and Adam
Simeon Pilder.
Stephanie graduated from the University
of California, San Diego with a B.A.
in human development and from the
University of California, Los Angeles with
a master's in education. She works as a
kindergarten schoolteacher with the Los
Angeles Unified School District.
Adam graduated from Eastern Michigan
University with both a B.A. and master's in public administration. He worked at the
Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix as the young leadership director until 2008. He
was then promoted and transferred to the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los
Angeles in their Campaign Department.
A wedding is planned for June in Los Angeles.

Job Networking Event
At Adat Shalom
Adat Shalom Synagogue in
Farmington Hills will offer a seminar
titled "Networking 101: The Hows and
Whys" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at the
synagogue.
Participants will network, learn how
to grow their businesses, enlarge their
professional circles and explore job
possibilities.
Coffee and snacks will be served.
There is no charge.

The Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit's Institute for
Retired Professionals (IRP) will host
Robert Sedler, professor of law at
Wayne State University's Law School,
from 11 a.m. 12:30 p.m. Friday, April
1, at the JCC in West Bloomfield.

On Sunday, May 8, B'nai B'rith Great
Lakes Region will celebrate Mother's
Day by packaging baskets for members
and friends to purchase as a gift for
Mother's Day.
Regular bagel baskets include
orange juice, assorted bagels and plain
cream cheese, tomato and cucumber
and rugelach, at a cost of $36 per bas-
