New Exec To Lead
Ann Arbor JCC

F

ollowing a nationwide search,
Andrea Rosner-Najer has been
named new executive director
of the Jewish Community Center of
Greater Ann Arbor.
Rosner-Najer
brings to the JCC
more than 20 years
administrative expe-
rience in the non-
profit and Jewish
world. Rosner-
Najer served first
Andrea
as an administra-
Rosner-Najer
tor and then as the
director of residen-
tial operations for Jewish Senior Life
of Metropolitan Detroit since 1992.
As director, Rosner-Najer was
responsible for financial and business
operations, personnel, maintenance,
kosher food service, and family and
resident relations for senior housing
facilities serving more than 900 resi-
dents on two JCC campuses.
Prior to working with Jewish
Senior Life, Rosner-Najer was a
counselor/consultant for Personal
Performance Consultants, a national
employee assistance and counseling
firm. She also served as the director

of social work and medical/hospice
social work for the former Riverside
Hospital in Trenton.
Rosner-Najer earned a master's
of social work from Wayne State
University, where she also received her
undergraduate degree. She and her
husband Nelson Najer have two chil-
dren, Sarah, 8, and William, 10.
"We are thrilled to have found
someone of Andrea's caliber," said
Nancy Margolis, search committee
chair. "She comes with an amazing
background of administrative accom-
plishments and proven management
skills; add to that her genuine warmth
and welcoming smile. Andrea will be
a valuable asset to our JCC and our
community."
Rosner-Najer replaces Leslie Bash
who retires this week after nearly 10
years as JCC executive director.
David Shtulman, Ann Arbor
Federation executive director, said, "I
believe the experience Andrea has
working in a non-profit Jewish setting
for so many years is a big advantage,
and I think it is a plus that she has a
lot of supervisory experience and even
property management experience." E
