MYRTLE
LENHOFF, 88, of
West Bloomfield,
died March 20, 2011.
Born to David and
Eva Frenkel, Myrtle
lived her entire life in
the Detroit area. In
Lenhoff
1945, she married a
decorated World War
II veteran, Harold Lenhoff, and was his
devoted wife for the next 58 years, until
his death in 2003.
Mrs. Lenhoff was a talented educator
who touched the lives of many students
at John E Kennedy School in Southfield,
where she was the librarian and taught
special math classes. Her children, on
occasion, heard former students remark
that she had been their favorite teacher.
For all but the last seven weeks of her
life, Mrs. Lenhoff enjoyed an indepen-
dent and active lifestyle. She was a kind,
charitable, cheerful and loving person.
Her many friends and her family will
remember her positive outlook, warm
personality and gentle nature. She knew
the value of friendship and often spent
time with people she had known for
decades. She never took her friends for
granted.
The world will never be the same for
her family. No one could have asked for
a better or more loving mother, sister or
grandmother. Her family's love will be
unending.

dren, Susan Moore (A1) of Pleasant Hill,
Calif., and Glen Lenhoff of Ortonville,
