knew I had to get creative," said Molly Reeser, as she
approached her wedding last summer to Nick Reeser, "if I
was going to have the wedding of my dreams.
"We were on a budget," said Molly, a pilates instructor
and founder of Camp Casey — the Birmingham-based charity
that offers horseback riding and activities programs to kids with
cancer and their families. "Nick was in medical school and I run
a starving non-profit.
"We kept it under our budget of $20,000," the Ferndale resi-
dent said.
Molly's life-long love of horses resulted in "a destination wed-
ding" — not to a Caribbean island or ethereal mountain resort,
but to southwest Michigan where a barn was the backdrop for
the ceremony and the site for the reception.
No, she doesn't mind sharing production credits with the
Internet for the June 25 affair. "I went on line and learned how
to create a do-it-yourself event.The key to having a wedding on
a budget is keeping it small, but intimate."
