Denim Does It Well

Jeans can be much more than casual attire.

for those who love denim and the more
casual place in a crowd.
"Jeans are an important part of my wardrobe
because I'm so comfortable in them, although I
never wear them at the office," says Bruce Ruben of
West Bloomfield.
"Our children aren't allowed to wear denim at
Hillel [Day School] either, but jeans are my uniform
when I travel and when I'm around the house. They
are my play clothes for evenings and weekends and
I wear jeans to dinner and at events when they're
appropriate.They simplify my wardrobe."
Ruben purchases most of his jeans on-line
because he can't find the brands he wants locally,
although he and Mindy recently found a Royal Oak
boutique that sometimes carries what he wants.
"Purchasing on line works because the returns
are easy when clothes don't fit," says Ruben. "I have
