For: my mama Etta Bas Shayna Gittel (Pascal) Waldman who sacrificed her life and soul for her
son (aka Sonny) raising him singularly alone in a cold water-flat in the inner city of Detroit.
For: G-D who came down from heaven when I was 4 1/2 years old and at 3 public schools (Brady,
Thirkle, and Winterhalter) and stopped me from going to kindergarten there because they
looked like CHURCHES!

For: Yeshiva Beth Yehudah who took me, a poor fatherless boy in for 13 years! And gave
me the best Hebrew and secular education and never took a penny from my mom.
For the City of Detroit which gave me my first weekly paid job as a student engineer at the
City County Building in downtown Detroit.
For Wayne State University for my B.Sc. and Master's in Education and teaching certificate
(licensed degrees) and to Michigan State University for my Juris Doctor Degree and my Esquire
license to practice law in the State of Michigan.
For: Oak Park Schools for the great profession of teaching mathematics and street law.
For: C.B.T.M. for the great 20 years as your Rabbi.
For: U. S. Government and the State of Michigan for your social security and pension
retirement funds so that I could finally retire and pray to live on for 120 years. B.E.H.
For: Arthur Murray Studios at W.S.U. who brought an Arthur Murray dance instructor for me and
other students to learn ballroom, disco and R & R and became the "Disco Rabbi" of S.E. Michigan.
