Obituaries

La Jolla, Calif., died
Feb. 26, 2011.
She was born in
Detroit on March 19,
1934, to Frances and
Swerdlow
Benjamin Boxman.
She is survived by her son, Steven
(Honey) Gobel of Highland Park, Ill.;
daughter and life partner, Shawna
Gobel and Denise Wunderlich of Oak
Park, Mich.; grandchildren, Jordan and
Jaime Gobel of Highland Park, Ill.; sister,
Elaine Cohen of Walled Lake.
She was preceded in death by her hus-
band, George Swerdlow.
Interment was in San Diego, Calif.
Donations may be made to a charity of
one's choice.

STEVEN E. ZACK,

60, of Franklin, died
March 7, 2011.
He was an insur-
ance broker with LSG
Insurance Partners,
the owner of Global
Commerical Credit
Zack
and the former owner
of Universco Insurance. Mr. Zack was a
board member of Citizens Bank, board
member of Hillel Day School and chair
of their golf tournament for several years,
a board member of Jewish Vocational
Services and active in Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit. He was also a
member of the Community Services
Division from 2006-2009, member of
the Planning and Allocations Steering
Committee (PASC) from 2006-2009,
member of the Pension and Insurance
Committee from 2008, member of the
Joint Purchasing Task Force from 2009
and was an active member of AIPAC.
Mr. Zack is survived by his wife,
Marla Zack; sons, Danny, Blake, Josh
and Sammy Zack; mother, Myrna Zack
Morrison; sisters and brothers-in-law,
Joanne and Paul Lederer and Ronna
Zack and Rich Rutowicz; mother-in-law
and father-in-law, Donna and Irwin
Goren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law,
Steve Goren and Valerie Schanes; niece,
Cortney Lederer and her fiance, Stefan
Teodosic.
He was the beloved son of the late
Sam Zack.
Interment at Beth El Memorial
Park. Contributions may be made to
the Steven E. Zack Memorial Fund at
the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit, P.O. Box 2030, 6735 Telegraph
Road, Bloomfield Hills, 48303.
Arrangements by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

90, of Phoenix, Ariz.,
died March 3, 2011.

Ariz.; brother, George Warren; sister-in-

(Mike) Wicklund; 17 great-grandchil-
dren; devoted caregivers, Kenisha Harris
and Donna Washington.
Mrs. Ziff was the beloved wife of the
late Albert Ziff.
Interment at the Hebrew Memorial
Cemetery in Mt. Clemens. Contributions
may be made to the Ziff Memorial
Wall at Temple Shir Shalom in West
Bloomfield or Temple Kol Ami in
Scottsdale, Ariz. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.

• The obituary for Dr. Allen Seel (March
3) should have indicated that he was a
dentist with a practice in Dearborn from
1975 to 1991.
