Family and friends please join us
for a memorial gathering in
honor of our father, Fred Lax,
who passed on February 4, 2011.
His burial took place in
Jerusalem, Israel accompanied by
his daughter Nancy Lax and his

son Michael Lax. Mr. Lax was a
decorated WW II veteran and was
founder and former owner of F. Lax Construction Co.
The memorial will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at
Fleischman Senior Residence, 6710 W. Maple Road,
West Bloomfield, 48322; between 10am and 11:30 am*

RUBEN DOMNITCH, 87, of West
Bloomfield, died March 3, 2011.
He is survived by his brother and
sister-in-law, Yale and Arlene Downes
of Moraga, Calif.; nieces and nephews,
Burt and Ellen Downes, Kim Downes,
Barbara Downes, Larry and Michelle
Downes and Annette and David
Kranzler; other loving family, friends
and his longtime companion, Barbara
Hertsberg.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

HAROLD W.
GOODMAN, 85, of
Franklin, died March
5, 2011.
He was a long-
time member
of Congregation
Shaarey
Zedek,
Goodman
where for 78 years he
was a regular on Saturday mornings
and Wednesday mornings. He also
regularly led shivah services at fami-
lies' homes and was a member of the
Shaarey Zedek Men's Club.
Mr. Goodman graduated from
the University of Michigan Business
School in 1947 before joining his
father in Goodman Seed and Feed,
with locations in Wayne, Inkster,
Belleville and Garden City. He was a
lieutenant junior grade in the Navy in
World War II.
He was active in the city of Franklin
as a trustee of the Franklin Library, a
member of the Franklin Community
Association, Friends of the Franklin
Library and the Franklin Historical
Society. He was a member and
contributor to the Detroit Jewish
Historical Society, the Detroit Institute
of Arts and active in Kadima, where
he and his wife, Evelyn, established
the Evelyn and Harold Goodman
Computer Fund.
Mr. Goodman was an original mem-
ber of the Great Lakes Yacht Club, a
member of B'nai B'rith Men's Club and
a former member of the Wayne Rotary
Club. After selling Goodman Seed and
Feed in 1968, he embarked on a new
career becoming a commerical indus-
trial real estate broker under the name
Harold Goodman Company.
Mr. Goodman is survived by his
wife of 49 years, Evelyn Goodman;
sons, Steven Goodman of Southfield,
Hugh Goodman of Ann Arbor; daugh-
ter, Penina Goodman of California; sis-
ters, Sarabeth Goodman of Southfield
and Dr. Helen Goodman of New York;
brother-in-law, S. Steven Siporin;
nieces and nephews.
He was the loving brother of the late
Kathleen Milgrom Geller.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

Mr. Kelman was the beloved hus-
band of the late Eleanor Kelman.
Interment at the Hebrew Memorial
Park Cemetery in Mt. Clemens.

BARBARA ROSENFELD, 63, of
West Bloomfield, died Feb. 6, 2011, in
California.
She is survived by her husband
Barry Rosenfeld; daughter and son-
in-law, Kim and Darryl Rubenstein
of Alpharetta, Ga.; son and daughter-
in-law, Brad and Doreen Rosenfeld of
Valencia, Calif.; sisters, Gail Caplan
and Marcy Caplan; brother-in-law,
Rodney Raub; grandchildren, Allie,
Trevor, Kyle, Colby and Chase.
Mrs. Rosenfeld was the beloved
daughter of the late Evelyn and the late
William Caplan; sister-in-law of the
late Sandy Raub.

service will take place March 18 for
family. Friends can visit the family
