His project involved the et design and build- Silbergleit ing of a 60x90- foot garden for the DTE Energy Garden Project, benefiting Gleaner's Food Bank and Yad Ezra. The garden created by Silbergleit and fellow scouts from Troop 1032, chartered to the First United Methodist Church of Birmingham, yielded 1,900 pounds of tomatoes, cabbage and onions last summer. Silbergleit also attained the highest Jewish religious emblem of Scouting, the Ner Tamid.
