Baill, who grew up in Minnesota and whose parents are from Metro Detroit, always joked with Nash about how she would be good on reality television. She applied online for the show Survivor; however, to her surprise, she heard back from CBS producers who instead asked her to be part of a new show. "They told me it was going to be and since like The Amazing Race I love to travel and try new things, I immediately said yes:' Baill said. When told she would need a partner, Baill right away asked her boyfriend of four years, Nash. A fierce and aggressive competitor, he could not turn down the opportunity. He said the show is a great chance to compete at a high level, and also a great way to spend time with his girl- friend. Nash owns three popular bars in Chicago, and his father, Michael, is the founding partner of Metro Detroit restaurant chain Mr. B's. Baill works at Hireology, wa Chicago-based startup hiring systems software company. "We've had some great experiences over the years, but nothing like this — this is the adventure of a lifetime:' Nash said. "We also work in opposite fields with opposite time schedules, so it'll be great to spend more time together:' Although Nash and Baill hope they generate a lot of support from follow- ers, they still believe they are the team to beat in the competition. "I think that with our individual skill sets, team chemistry and the help of online followers, there's no stopping us," Nash said. "We're ready to throw caution to the wind and do whatever it takes to win in this race:' To join their team, go to www. focusrally.com/team/silver/. — r/w9 ,w4ttei?1, 0,;946Stutitd4k,4tatowilbrif VISIT US °Mil% at JNt2t.com Jewish News staff report February 24 d 2011 55
