The Law Firm Of Support Federation And Stretch To Help T he Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit Women's Department is host- ing its third annual Stretch to Help event on Sunday, Feb. 6. Women of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in this communitywide fitness and wellness event to raise funds for Federation's 2011 Annual Campaign. Illana Greenberg, event co-chair, said, "Stretch to Help is an opportu- nity to reach Jewish women who may not know about Federation. It will give them a chance to participate in and be counted as members of our community of Jewish women. It also serves to connect Jewish women in a non-threatening way, and to raise new dollars and get new advocates to recognize the essential work that Federation does." Co-chair Gail Mondry added, "Women should participate in Stretch to Help because we need to stretch ourselves collectively; to help make a difference. The more women who participate, the bigger the difference we can make' Last year, more than 300 women participated. More than 25 classes will be offered throughout the day at ven- ues across the community. Classes include Vinyasa, Zumba, Hatha Yoga, Pilates, Barre Yoga and others. For the first time, Moms and Tots Yoga and Kids Yoga classes will be offered. Participating venues, yoga studios, congregations and instructors donate their space and time for this cause.
